About Robina

Robina is a suburb of the City of Gold Coast with a population of 25,659 at the 2021 Census (ABS). It sits 9.8 km south-south-west of Surfers Paradise and 84.4 km south-south-east of the Brisbane CBD.

Robina is unusual for a Gold Coast suburb in how much sits inside its own boundaries: Robina railway station on the Gold Coast line, Robina Hospital (a 364-bed public hospital and a teaching hospital for Bond and Griffith universities), Bond University, Cbus Super Stadium and Robina Town Centre — a 34-hectare centre with more than 400 retail outlets across more than 130,000 m².

Schools inside the suburb are Robina State School (government primary), Robina State High School (government secondary), Arcadia College (independent, Years 7–12) and The Industry School on Scottsdale Drive.

Road access is via the Pacific Motorway (M1), with Robina Town Centre signposted from exits 79 and 82, and Robina Parkway runs through the suburb. Note that the G:link tram does not currently serve Robina — it runs between Helensvale and Broadbeach South, and a Robina branch is only a proposal.

How buying in a new development works

Homes like these are sold on strata or community title: you own your home and share ownership of the common property with the other owners through a body corporate, which charges regular levies for insurance, maintenance and shared services. While a development is still being built, homes are usually sold off the plan — a deposit is paid when the contract is signed, and settlement happens once construction is finished and the titles are created.

Ask us for the disclosure documents, the body corporate budget and the plan for any home you are considering, and we will go through them with you before you sign anything.
