Park Ridge is a suburb of Logan City with a population of 8,455 at the 2021 Census (ABS), 34.5 km south of the Brisbane CBD. Logan City’s economic development office describes Park Ridge, with Yarrabilba and Greater Flagstone, as accounting for around 45% of the city’s economic growth.

There are four schools inside Park Ridge: Park Ridge State School (government primary), Park Ridge State High School (government secondary), St Philomena School (Catholic, Prep–Year 12) and Parklands Christian College (independent, Prep–Year 12).

There is no railway station in Park Ridge. The Mount Lindesay Highway and Chambers Flat Road form suburb boundaries and Park Ridge Road runs east–west through the suburb, with the Mount Lindesay Highway crossing the Logan Motorway to the north. Park Ridge Town Centre, with a Coles on Park Ridge Road, is in the suburb.

How buying in a new development works

Homes like these are sold on strata or community title: you own your home and share ownership of the common property with the other owners through a body corporate, which charges regular levies for insurance, maintenance and shared services. While a development is still being built, homes are usually sold off the plan — a deposit is paid when the contract is signed, and settlement happens once construction is finished and the titles are created.
